Offline Observation
First off, I am playing on Layton Lakes right now. I decided to try COTW with Steam in offline mode. (Actual offline mode, not just Friends Offline.) There was no Logged In message and Hunt Club Beta was unavailable. Just to make sure I unplugged the ethernet cable to be sure I wasn't on some kind of Avalanche server.

Observations:

1) Steam showed my play time as if this was my first time playing. Mere minutes as opposed to hundreds of hours.

2) Sound bug was gone. I could once again walk through grassy areas without getting any red bars.

3) Never saw any teleporting animals.

Granted I only played this way for about 1.5 hours and only took maybe a dozen animals so I would consider this inconclusive but interesting. Is it possible that the sound bug, teleporting, and maybe some others are server side issues rather than client side? Could Hunt Club Beta actually be causing the recent spike in teleporting?

I'm going to have to experiment with this a bit more.

Iv had Steam boot me off and shut down the game a few times.....

Id play the game offline... I dont care.... I just want to play the game..

Would it help if we livestreamed the bugs? Seems to be the only ones you fix.... is the fun ones that are on youtube.... lol.

Just click Steam at top left and click go offline. Make sure you know your password as you might need it to sign back in. You'll know if your're offline as the Steam Store won't load and you just get a grey page that says "Steam is in offline mode".

I cannot even remember that damn password... Steam isnt really something I use.. once in a blue moon..... Cant I just unplug the damn internet.................

If the bug is connected to Steam... and all the other stuff too... I cannot even see how they can fix that... cause its a Steam problem...

Which is why I dont like using Steam... It all seems like a rip off to me... I dont even get a coffee coster out of it...

You have to be online on steam to put it into offline mode. Click username at top right and go to your account details. There you can find a link to reset password. If you have an e-mail or phone linked to the account they will send you a code to let you change your password. I just did it because I forget my password also.

Yes. A friend can watch your game as you play even without owning it. Livestreaming but maybe a bit clunkier than other programs.

Just tested this out. Steam used to require a manual login after going into offline mode. Now it seems that is no longer the case. Just switch to "go online" and it should go right back to where you were after logging you in automatically. Worst case just do a windows restart.

Yeah. By clunkier I meant how well it streams. When set to public it should stream to "Community Hub" where anyone can see it.

Well, I'm pretty sure it's not the Hunt Club, since most people in China (like myself) never get logged into the server to begin with when playing the game. (It remains at "Connecting"). The Hunt Club is completely unavailable to us.

That's not to say that we run the same as "offline mode", but I don't really see any difference as it pertains to a connection to the server.
