The .22, the .22H, or any shotgun with birdshot does the trick. Personally, I like the 16 gauge pump or the 20 gauge semi-auto for turkeys. I occasionally use the bow with the small game arrows as well.

Depends where you hunt. Silver Ridge -- wide open spaces and long shooting lanes. Perfect place for the .22LR. Rancho del Arroyo -- pheasant must be taken on the wing so 16 gauge you get on that reserve is perfect for them, turkeys and rabbits.

Be careful with the .22H, Before the new DLC I used to use the .22LR and a shotgun for turkeys. .22LR was great for long distance shooting, even taking them out at 300m at Te Awaroa, and the shotgun for close up.

I recently tried the .22H instead of the .22LR and at that extreme distance (300m) it wouldn't drop a turkey. They would get to 25-50% health and then stop bleeding. Obviously at closer ranges (150-200m) it works well, but just be careful if you are used to extreme long distance shooting with the .22LR
