Mythical Lion
Saw a Mythical Lion. Because it is a New Game I did not have correct Equipment to Hunt him.

If I go back, would he still be around the area?

Same time as when I spotted him more or less....or is he active in that region no matter the time?

*EDIT*
Also Mythical might mean a Diamond right?

Most likely at the same time and probably in the same rough region all day long, unless you chased him there from his original location.

"Also Mythical might mean a Diamond right?"

It might be, but not very likely. Granted, I'm playing with an older version, but there are plenty of Mythical lions around and I also shot two Legendary ones that didn't make Diamond (because of their trophy rating, not because of a bad shot).

In my experience only a 9-Legendary African Lion has a hope of turning out to be a diamond. I say "hope" because not all 9-Legendary animals score high enough to be a diamond. Not saying it's impossible for an Level 8 ?African Lion to be a diamond, just highly unlikely. Whenever I spot a max level animal but either don't have the right weapon or a clear shot at it, I go back about 1/2 hr earlier than the time it was when I first saw it and wait for it to show up. If they are going to then they usually do so within 1-3 days, regardless of species. If there's hunting pressure in the area I try to get rid of it as soon as possible.
