Tips for Hunting Canadian Geese?

Do you guys have any tips or methods for hunting Canadian Geese? i already know where to hunt them, but i kinda wanna know how to hunt them

their functionality is broken since the last DLC release

you sit in a stand - put decoys up and blast the caller
they come flying and land
last part is bugged tho and they go straight defensive and fly back up/away

Too many players bragged about how they were an easy way to level up and earn in game cash. So the devs made them practically impossible to hunt.

Instead of just make them earn less per kill?

They are broken currently, immediately going defensive, never landing, and detecting you in blinds. If you can spot them you can still shoot them in the air however, the .22 works better than shotguns for airborne ones at range imo. Some flocks you cant spot with binocs, those are not possible to shoot as far as I can tell.

That would imply that they tried to "fix" something and made changes on purpose. I have a hard time believing that.

Well seeing how geese are bugged/broken just like ducks it's best not to waste anytime hunting them until they're fixed. Or you're going to have a miserable time.

Once it's fixed just camp out in a open field, place a bunch of decoys out, and use the caller. Wait for them to land and then start shooting.

Yup, just spent the better part of 3 hours the other day hunting them for that mission in Hirschfelden that requires you to build hunting pressure in two different fields and not a single goose landed. Had no idea this was a bug until after when I searched online. So frustrating.

Update: So i have been using a rifle with class 1 ammo when hunting geese and i have killed 5. Until they get the bug fixed (supposedly) where they land, this is my best bet for hunting geese

if you got Rancho dlc try to hunt pheasant, it's working well (unlike other bird in-game)
I tested several solo-multi combos, as soon as the geese land, they go direct, vigilant. Lying down, in a lookout, with or without a dog, nothing to do.
If you have a dlc with .22 this is your only solution, I hope the patch will not be in several months ...

J'ai testé plusieurs combo solo-multi, dès que les oies atterrissent elle passe direct en vigilant. Allongé, dans un affût, avec ou sans chien, rien à faire.
Si tu as un dlc avec de la .22 c'est ta seule solution, j'espère que le patch ne sera pas dans plusieurs mois...
Si tu as le dlc rancho del aroyo tu peux essayer le faisan il ne bug pas (testé hier)

Update 2: im at the point where im killing whole flocks without them landing. i guess its a good thing tho because im getting a lot of money
