Not able to REST in Outpost?

So if you're playing with someone else, am I too assume I can't rest at an outpost or tent unless my buddy is with me? Cause he went AFK to watch a show and is coming back... but it's night and want to change it to daytime.

Sounds like your friend is hosting the map, so he would need to initiate the rest. When something like that happens it would probably be a good idea if he logged off. For as long as you stay on the map the instance will stay open and he can rejoin you later. I am not sure about that, but I think you should then inherit the position as map host and be able to skip time.
