Issue with mission in the mississippi reserve

I've been slowly completing the missions for the mississippi reserve. I came across the "short circuited" mission. inspected the flowers and now i can't progress any further cause nothing is happening. I can't re-inspect the flower, i've restarted the game, restarted my computer, and nothing. Is there any fix for this?

A new mission should've started after inspecting the back of the flowers.
So the question is, is "Short circuited" still an active mission?

If yes, check if you can re-inspect it through the "Codex > Mission items" and rotate it.
If not, check if the missions still are enabled within the game settings.

So the mission is still on my phone (the text is white) I checked my codex inventory, i only have the rock in there and a map. And the mission is selected with no other missions active. It sets a mission waypoint to the brothers home. I go in, and the flowers are on the table not highlighted with anything. Just plain flowers that I can't inspect in any way shape and form. And the mission is just stuck on that.

Sounds like the mission is hard locked then and with that I think it's better to file a bug report by emailing the support as this mission being hard locked is not marked as a known issue.
It will be preferred to attach the save file with it.
However, they are on a holiday break and it may be a while to hear back from them.

As for a fix, I don't know any as I haven't run into any problems myself.
So I'm not sure if disabling missions, resuming the game and enabling missions again will have any effect or if that will just straight up crash the game.
Neither don't I know if starting a new game will fix this, although I would understand if you do not want to do that.
