can you lung shoot the crocs?
and can you use a 270? i tried the 300 but it's too big a caliber.
lady says i need to do a headshot. bit surprising to me but i didn't even know people hunted aligators so that's not surprising.

Yes and also the stomach. Unfortunately, unless the animal dies on land from a lung shot (before it escapes into the water) you most likely will have seen the last of it. BTW...attempting to hit a lung while the alligator is swimming will not work. The water stops the bullet.

i succeeded with the 300 but i guess that's because it's a too high cal. didn't get trophy score.

I'm going to try using the .50 cal smoke pole. The way it puts down a Moose it ought to fare pretty well on gators.

It's a good option but be mindful of long head shots. They require a degree of precision I find easier to achieve with the .303 or 7mm + Argus scope. A great gun to broadside the gators with though.

Been using the M!, works pretty well, also the 300. Yes lung shots work.

A neck spinal shot from proper distance or with appropriate caliber will still put them down instantly

Lung shot works for me. 303 at range and the 454 up close. Be sure to hit them in shallow water or on land. Occasionally a quick kill shot works in deeper water, but I rarely attempt it anymore
