Friend requests not working

So, i´m trying to play with my friend but when I send him a request nothing appears for him and the exact same thing the other way. We got the game on epicgames so this is probably not the right place to ask but has anyone else experienced this issue before and how to fix it?

Same over here. I believe it's because a lot of people started playing the game on Epic games.

I'm having the same issue. Just purchased on Steam and about to get a refund since I cannot play with my husband, which was the whole reason we got it.

mm if u both own it in steam
u can just invite from steam friendlist

Or just have the friend join you directly through the Steam list if you both own it. In our case it wasn't even necessary to send an invite - they could just join. It's on a huge special now at least, so if you want to get it on Steam (and perhaps get some DLCs as well since everything is so cheap right now) now's the time. :)

Me and my brother also first claimed it on Epic, and if I recall correctly we did have to use the Apex Connect thing. If it's glitching out we've found that restarting the game sometimes fixes it.
