Less aggressive animals
Is it just me, or after the update animals are even less aggressive than before? I just had a bunch of cape buffalo run away from me instead of charging like they used to

they still charge, the last encounter I had there were two charging me at the same time, one hit me but I managed to take out both, my question though is why aren't Grizzly bears aggressive at all...Grizzly bears should be as bad as water and cape buffalo, bison could be a little more aggressive as well, it sure makes the game more exciting when you have to dodge
and try and kill them at the same time, really enjoy that part of the game.

Well, yes they do, but I feel they're charging less than before, something like less than 20% of the cape buffalo I encountered actually charged me.
As for the grizzly bears I agree with you, the game portrays them as dangerous killing machines but I've yet to see a single one charge me. I feel even the wolves are not as aggressive as they should be, only a single pack attacked me recently, the other three I found ran away just like any other animal.

In fact, there are a number of animals in the game that should be more aggressive, moose in real life often like chasing and trampling people

mmmmm....now that you mention it I believe you are correct.... I regularly hunt wolves and used to get attacked by large packs, seems as time has gone on I have to hunt different areas to find aggressive packs anymore...or are they just leary now, not sure but it was a rush when they'd try to encircle you...lol

I've never had a problem with them, they're reasonably easy to dodge, and you shouldn't be walking around vurhonga with anything less than a 338 anyways

Have not tested since the patch, but when i was grinding cape buffs pre patch about 10 to 20% of the animals i found would charge. Most would just flee like any other species. Notably if you tried to sneak up and their awareness meter crept up slowly, they'd tend to flee. When there was more of a spike in awareness - eg when you shoot - they seemed more likely to charge.

I ran into a pack of aggro wolves yesterday. It doesn't seem different to me. I do wish they were a tad more aggressive though. It seems as though it depends on if the pack has stronger members or not, and if you happen to take them out first, the rest will run. Perhaps the same applies to the buffalo, but I have no idea.

Grizzly bears... definitely wish they were more aggressive. Once in a while I can get one to aggro, but you kinda have to call it in and surprise it up close. I don't really think they have changed at all either.

If it means that wolves are less aggressive as well, then I'm a happy camper. They are timid towards people in real life.

I think the animals are still slightly aggressive . Fair enough , if you stumble directly into a pack of wolves / herd of wild boar etc then you'd expect to be attacked . But ...... wild boar launching " kamikaze " attacks from 100 yards away , after having a couple of their pals picked off , feels a bit OTT to me .

Yeah wild boar are probably the most lethal. Wolves, buffalo, lions aren't a problem. But when a whole bunch of piggies decide you have to go there isn't a lot you can do.

Thank you!!! I swear i can't hunt wolves in this game without taking a step into The Gray, the only thing missing is bareknuckle boxing wolves.
