track animals, run, walk, crouch?
Hello, i have BIG problems when i track an animal, i start in the reserve Hirschfelden. But its in night, and seems tutorial have active and i have to follow an animal. The problem i have in this game its that i try to follow the tracks, footprints etc... but the animal its always running, i try to crouch but i do it for over an hour and still no animal appear... seems that, if i crouch, the animal are faster just walking and move to other zone (without detecting me), if i run, the animal its even faster and of course, its running forever. I never know what i have to do, because even if i walk, the animal its more faster. I do not know what to do to get closer, and i do not have money to get items (im new), or "skills" to track it better. I know that there its a deodorant, but seems do not work.

Hirschfelden isnt bugged but it is a fairly hard reserve compared to the rest.

If you are new i would recommend you to skip tracks and try to spot animals in open areas atleast until you unlock some more Skills from the tree.

without any Skills the animals can hear you from 50-75 meter away while you crouch. and because of the dense forestry and bush system in the reserve you will have a hard time spotting animals from that distance at the beginning.

So if you like the reserve my nr 1 tip will be try find need zones (each animal species have times a day where they drink, eat, sleep etc) near water drinking zones are the easiest to hunt for or eating / resting in big fields.

practice takes time so stick to it and you will quickly pick up on the learning curve =)

Ok, so first thing, i'd start on layton, but that's just me. Second, at night you need your headlamp on which means you press L to turn it on. Beyond that, yeah the game has a fairly consistent learnig curve. There's definitely a groove that is enjoyable, but there's also a sense early on that nothing works right. Stick with it for a bit.

Yeah, skip tracks seems a better idea, i now try to shoot what i see... and seems are big prey's... like bears. Seems that its a good idea to explore and know animals habitats so i can go that place prepared with me stuff.

By the way, i got a bug or something, on me phone, its not appearing to me, the tracks. And the map in the phone seems frozen?.
