What gun to kill big animals? (Rifle) Moose/Bear/Bison? New Player

I'd go with a minimum of a 30-30 or .45 You can get away with a 7MM...Now if that works in the game also then thats great. I use a Winchester 33WCF in real life on Moose and bear. That is for one shot drop if the shot is right. However you can take down the black bears ingame with a .270 with polypoint tips for better penetration. I do i regularly but you may need to put a second shot in them to drop them short without having to track a blood trail for a distance.

If you want to take on big game, use like the 7mm, 338. Recommended for Bison.

Yep but only in real world... not in this game.

One or two time i kill moose one shot 338. Never time again. Moose OP :) in this game.

I can easily kill all animals only use Rifle 270. But moose if I hit him 2-3 times. I'm waiting for bleeding.

I Think( Rifle 270) it is the best for this game.. Cheap stock ammo 270 x10 only 440 $. And ammo cartridge in rifle x 4 .We can fast time shooting 4 times.It's important when we attack a bear.
My record distance kill .. 339 meters. Rifle 270, ammo stock 440 $.

the .338 mag is a howitzer and pretty much the one to use on anything large.

And FYI a .22 mag hollow point can take down anything in real life. shot through the eye srambles the brain and drops them in the tracks.

The short answer is just get the .338 Rangemaster.

The long answer is depends on a lot stuff.

How much money do you have? Do you need to grind to be able to buy the .338? Do you already have optics? Do you already have a rangefinder? Which map are you hunting bear on the US or Russia map?

A .270 class weapon and above will kill bears, bison, and moose one shot if you are skillful or lucky enough.

The Pump Shotgun with slugs will do the same if you are willing to invest the time and effort into grinding to get it.

If you are just asking what weapon to use to flat blast any animal in the game 1 shot then you need to grind out the handguns to get the .454 Rhino. This one is as close to a golden bullet the game has right now.

The Pump Shotgun or .454 Rhino route requires you to get up close and personal cause they work best at 75 meters or less.

does the 338 really have a that bad of an accuracy like it says in the discription?
edit, and is it better as self defence than the rhino or the pistol before it?
