tips for hunting turkey?
i feel like the decoys don't have much effect, not comparing to the geese or duck decoys.

40% chance the caller will work (under ideal conditions). Attraction value of decoys is in the items description in the store so use that when you buy them but the max value of a decoy spread is 40% so once you reach that it's pointless to add more. Combined you have a max attraction value of 80% which is better than RL. Use the crow caller to locate where the turkeys are when they gobble back in response to it. Many times in SRP I've set out a few turkey decoys within 50-100 meters of my tripod and over the following days found turkeys wandering around near them just waiting for me to show up.

Mouth caller is used for attraction.

Crow caller is used for location.

I gave up on attracting turkey a long time ago and I'm now just taking them out long range. (22LR).

The crow caller is very effective to localize the bird in the forest. When in close quarters I just remove the scope on the 22LR and go at it with the iron sights. You can down them while they're flying too, because of their slow flight velocity.

I have a guide that shows holdovers for the 22LR at long range, but be aware of wind. At >300m you need to hit two bullets for quick kill.

I never use turkey decoys. I just run around use the crow caller 3-4 times for localization, sneak up to them, use the mouth caller 3-4 times if the turkey is still to far away, and shoot. If you have found some need zone even better. Lie in wait for them and use the caller.
