Goose and duck hunting nerfed?

So I goose hunt from time to time to make a little spare cash. I have 6 fields set up on Hirsch and when one field slows, I just hop to another. Have always had success at all 6 fields but the last two nights I've played for a couple hours and have seen 2 flocks of geese total...and they both came in at the same time. What the heck did they do to the goose hunting? I know there were issues with the dogs and goose hunting crashing but whatever they did really messed up the goose hunting bad! I've seen threads that the same thing has happened with ducks as well. Anyone that hunts geese want to give it a try and report your findings?

I have barely seen a single bird, only fowl i can hunt are turkeys.
I have been binge playing since they released the dog, among ducks and geese, i have only seen 3 geese fly above me and never to be seen again even if i followed.

I agree with you but it is not only the goose that is nerfed.
I have already quoted it, since the last patch of the dogs, all the maps are nerfed, I see myself less and less animals to hunt.
I have reset all my maps one after the other and animals are rare on all maps.
This game is broken and nothing works anymore. I walk around for hours and only see a few females (which I don't shoot of course), I don't know what the devs have planned but they are going in the wrong direction, the players are getting discouraged

Why did you reset your maps? From my experience the maps need time and hunting to mature. I have not observed any impact on the population so far after the last release.

I reset my cards because I had been hunting on them for months and I felt they were starting to wear out.
If you don't see any changes or even new bugs in the game since the release of the dogs DLC, good for you, I'm on the game between 4 and 5 hours a day and I feel the changes since the release of the last patch. But some players like you don't see any change which is still strange to me.

Oh, unfortunately I discovered a lot of new bugs. I wonder how the release passed the regression testing. I just asked because I never feel the need to reset a map after playing 600+ hours so far.

Definitely giving up myself h ere on geese. hour sitting in a field for literally nothing is just ridiculous.
Ok fine, literally is an exaggeration, I saw one boar wander by like 300 yards out.

Layton has been plenty populated far as the terrestrial critters go though.

Yes, I tried to hunt geese and did not see a single bird.... Before you could wait maybe 2 min, I waited for over 30min and NOTHING.
On LL I have 2 decoy setups for H.pressure removal and before there was almost ducks every time no matter the time. Haven't seen a single duck by my decoys... tried about 19 times.

As usual.... fix 10 things screw up 25 things... Never ending story.....

Used to see half a dozen flocks during a morning hunt then it dropped to 3 flocks of geese on a regular basis. Sometimes those 3 flocks came in all at the same time, sometimes flocks would just be passing by sky high headed to who knows where but I've had bad luck in RL so that's the breaks in hunting, or so I thought. Goose hunting wasn't a slaughter fest but I'd get 5-6 birds in a couple early morning game hours so it was okay. Unfortunately most of the geese now appear have gone south for the winter, The norm now is one flock or none on a regular basis and that one flock I do see is sometimes just passing by in a V formation so high the spot won't work on them. Time to call it quits on the geese.

I have been hunting on Hirsh (not geese) for 4h straight now... not seen or heard a single flock of geese,
Think my geese "record" was 75k in 48min.

Just played again for another 30 min IRL and never saw or heard a goose. Ridiculous.

Played like 1 hrs IRL and saw 2 flocks. Before would see like 1-3 geese every 5-10 mins, but now only 1 big flock every 30 mins.

I'm glad it's not just my imagination but it still sucks for everyone involved until they get this fixed....IF they fix it.

i just make a few runs on duck hunting ( yesterday and today ) and all was work fine.
Able to kill several flocks and they were keep coming ( +/- 2-5 min apart )

About geese i don't know, i didn't hunt geese after the Dog's DLC ( soon i will give a try )

My friend and I hunted for over an hour and got only one flock. When I killed a goose, I was able to harvest, when he killed them there was blood splats but no goose to be found. He was unable to harvest any of the three geese he killed. How can one of the best multiplayer activities be so broken for so long?
