Is the Bloodhound worth buying
Initially I thought not but having it beside me for a while now I would say yes. It doesn't seem to spook animals so that worry is out of the way. And while I tend to kill my animals with clean shots I still make my hound "find" them which makes them "learn". It is that odd shot that even the best shot has that the dog proves the low price is worth it. Wounded but not fatal animals make the dog shine. Train them and they are worth the low cost

As a bow hunter who plays with no visual aids I couldn't be happier.

If you play with tracking and downed animal highlights off yes. Otherwise there's little point to a dog that tracks and locates downed animals.

yes and not, it just track a wounded animal, he can't do anithing like find an animal for you or like this, only track an animal after you have shoot it, it can be useful if the animal starts changing direction in obstacles and you lose the track

I would wait for the devs to rework the dog first, since it likes to get into your way and pushes you around.

This. Right now, I find it way more annoying than helpful. I haven't used the dog in months.

Dog is not worth it. Yesterday I shot animal and hunting pressure appeared but no tracks to or out of there and not even blood splatter not a single track of the animal, brought the dog there and it said no track, what is the point of dog if it cant track animal i cant track.

I don't use the bloodhound and in my opinion it's not worth buying. Having the dog interferes with hearing the animals movements and the risk of being bumped while firing. Retrieval of ducks and geese would be beneficial, this isn't possible with the current system in place.

Dog can be useful sometimes but it needs improvement imo. I've had a number of bugs with the dog, like him not finding blood that's right under his nose, taking too long to find blood that's right under his nose, taking to long to find a dead animal that's right in front of him, if I run too far in front of him while tracking an animal he stops and I have to run back to him, sometimes he gets stuck in places, often he walks right in front of me when I'm aiming my rifle at an animal and I get that invalid target message even though I don't see him in my scope, and I find it really annoying that I have to babysit him all the time and constantly praise him and pet and such all the time otherwise his focus goes down and he can't track anything.

Yes doggy is a nice companion, buy it.

I like it, but only as a companion for my solo experience. I don't think it's worth more than 2 $ and I find it useless most of the time. If you want it, it's in the tier 3 of the humble bundle that comes with everything (that one is worth the price :P) :

I find the dog useful, and for those complaining about him getting in the way, its as easy as the "lie down" command.
Has made it very easy to track, and occasionally I'll try tracking it myself and now and then lose the trail, dog runs right off picking it up.

Don't even need to do the treats and praising if you dont want to, very rarely bother myself.
