The boars are back in town. Am I being trolled?

apparently there are too many boar in Lesyne Lands and am tasked with killing 3 to controle their population numbers. after 5 hours of looking being quiet using all of the proper techniques (im level 60) i cannot seem to find any boar. I cannot even find tracks let alone the actual animal. anyone know where to find them as i am actually getting frustrated at this point as it feels like im being trolled right now. i mean a boar population that has boomed out of control should mean that there are a lot of them not literaly 0

that is the one mission for medved i hated it took me 4-5 hours to complete

i literally have had multiple lynx come up close enough for me to pet yet refrained from shooting as to not scare off any potential boar XD

this type of thing is typical in all their missions, like the fallow deer one in europe, guy complains all these deer are eating his crops, us to the rescue, we go there and zero fallow deer, you have to call them in from the outside. when ever a mission says go find this type of animal, and you take it, it must affect the spawn rate in that area and they have very few of them if any. best thing you can do is sit at the edge of the zone and call them in from outside of it.

good idea. i did notice that the spawn rate seems to be off. I did go into a multiplayer server and boar were everywhere so i went back to single player and the boar zone was replaced by more moose for this mission...i wonder if its a glitch where the spawn rate is suppose to go up but similar to the famus glitch from civ 1 it actually does the opposite

I've noticed the steep decline in designated animal populations/tracks once I've accepted a mission to harvest them as well. I see the mission and think " Oh hell yeah, this will be an easy one" so I accept, only to discover that (overnight) the population has dropped like a plague had struck. I even tried avoiding killing certain species and not hunting in some areas at all, saving them for the upcoming mission(s). Wasted effort.

Apparently this is more than just a feeling as there are many other posts about the mission's target species becoming extremely scarce as soon as we except a mission. I'm have the same issue with DOC#21 right now.

Try the hunting stand right on the border of Lysne Land and the tundra. Use boar call, odor neutralizer very early morning. They will need to be on your side of the pond . Like I said, it's right on the border.

I had a heck of a time with the mission for a photo of a Fallow within 50m, Went thru 3 regiions in Hirsch where I'd found Fallow before and nada. Finally opted to focus on the Bunker area and after 3 days of morning and evening hunts I managed to get an acceptable picture just before dark. The next morning, within 30 RL min, I counted a total of 22 Fallow in three seperate fields all less than 300m of the outpost! Jeeshhh.

Why is it that I can lug the .223 around for days on end and all the fox are in dense cover, yet the moment I put the dang gun in storage they become downright brazen. Walking right down the middle of the trail in front of me, swishin' their little tails side to side...bringin' the whole dern family along for a pic-nic in the strawfields..(mutter, mutter) I once for 4 in one field..4!!! ARGgg!

Holy cow...i finally beat it...after literally after a 5 strait hour session of looking for boar i found the last 3 boar and hunted that overpopulated (more like endangered) animal to extinction. Welp...that was terrible. i mean once i found a set of tracks it was pretty easy, but wow that took way too long to find tracks. and now that the mission is over i am literally tripping over them in the area. they have something seriously wrong with their game code.

Found them! Around Midnight, east middle, near landmark Khod Bolshoy, there then south for about 700m along the frozen river. There are a couple of need zones to set up shop if you want. Got about 5 or 6 in about 10 minutes... If I remember right, the quest does mention they are invading from another zone, so, maybe that is why they are only down there...

I completed this mission earlier today and found a large herd of boar just a tad northeast of the only lookout tower in Lesnye Lands. The time of day was late afternoon, but keep in mind boars are very active at night. The coordinates for the spot I found them was about -8400 by -6550. Open your map and look at the bottom right and you'll see them. Hope you have some luck in the same area I did!

it took me 2 weeks to complete it. They literally spawn 1 herd in the entire zone and it stops all other herds from spawning. And there isn't an exact area. it all comes down to luck. And once you complete it be prepared to be trolled even harder when suddenly boar are everywhere. Just use something like the 7mm so that they die instantly. Screw any kind of intergity bonus. Don't do a good job. Just get this annoying quest done. The later ones are actually kind of interesting

Its like opposite day. Boar are over populated when there are none around. So you got to shoot the few remaining boar there so they can start breading again causing tons to appear.

That sounds insane!
So there is only 1 wild boar left in that whole area.

I actually like hunting wild boar in this game, but ever since I accepted this mission they have disappeared. I would be hapy if I would see whole herds again.

1 herd. And its like a herd of like 3-5 boar. But only 1 spawns in the entire area. If you don't kill all of them and they despawn they will spawn again in a different area. 3-5 in a heard together. Which is not really that much different from 1 in the entire area. Like i said its just luck. And if they are still having addressed this thats a little disappointing. I mean there should be more boar than the stock ammounts in an area when you claim overpopulation. Not less.
