Fast Travel to Tents - Secret to Silent Spawning
I have noticed, that sometimes when I spawn into a tent it makes unzipped noise. But, if I go to another tent within 200 m it doesn't make a sound. However, it is not consistent. I can go back and forth between 3 tents that are real close and most of the time it will make the unzipping noise, but 5-10% of the time is makes no noise.

What is the secret to spawn into tents without making noise with tents that are close together? Its not consistent and I would like it to be.

Thanks in advanced

As far as I know, the unzip noise is just ear candy for us. It's meaningless to the animals. The written code dictates that when we fast travel to or from any location we generate noise at the point of our our arrival as well as where we departed from be it tent, outpost, a field or patch of woods in the middle of nowhere. No way around it. The sound of fast traveling doesn't seem to spook animals within 150 meters as bad as a gun shot, but it comes close.

Well, that is not an answer to my question. I already understand the noise. Being more specific in my question was travelling between tents close together SOMETIMES doesn't make a noise at all... I want to know how I can achieve that all the time. Thanks

What, you don't like the zipping noise? Is that all? Whether you hear the zip or not it's not going to effect the animals.

Where did you get your info from. Every time I spawn in a tent and it makes noise, the animals flee. Every time there are animals around the tent.

the zip noise is meaningless, you make noise fast travelling to a tent if that audio triggers or if it doesn't. Guessing that is what he meant

Well, I haven't seen any animals flee yet when spawning at a tent and it make NO noise, only when the zipper makes noise. I just need to see an animal around the tent when the zipper makes no noise to prove that theory. Thanks

Werid...i always hear the zipper but if its not there sometimes ive never noticed. Either way ive never not once had animals stay right outside the tent when I travel to it. They always flee. Would be interesting to see if there is a way to do it silently.

To clarify... I meant to say I haven't seen any animals outside when I spawn and exit the tent (when noise is NOT made). So, I am not sure that when the tent doesn't make the noise it scares them away or not. I need to see the animal itself to prove the theory. What I do know is when it makes a noise any animals around the tent flees no matter if I exit the tent or not. That is normal game play.

As Striker said already, I'm sure the unzip noise is just a sound effect that the animals don't hear. Just like sometimes I can crawl just after using something, maybe a caller-can't remember, and I'll be able crawl without any audible noise at all. But I know I'm not suddenly a hunt ninja. It's just a game quirk.

Only thing that matters are those visibility and sound icons in the UI. Well, those and the wind.
