Blue and white tracks, and blood, dont show on the ground at night?
Hello, I'm playing the Wild hunt classic, yesterday I went hunting at night, I noticed that the tracks, blood, do not appear at night, those blue and white sparkles, which shows in the tracks did not show at night, that cone that indicates the direction was not showing on the ground, only on that tablet, is it normal at night? Or i mess up any configuration??

plus, I have a mission to take a picture from a deer, what is the keybind to open the camera?

If if follow the missions, the game will teach me all i have to know?
Like which weapon is the best for each animal, which ammo, and all stuff that we have on the shop?

P key turns on Camara
L key turns on light to see tracks at night
Falcon Apr 27, 2021 @ 4:57am
1) perfectly normal. try pressing 'L' to use your head lamp at night or using night vision gear

2) 'P' opens the camera. if you want to see all the key bindings. hit 'esc' then go into System and Key Bindings

3) the missions won't teach you much about the game. they're more for the story line and building up some cash/xp. to see which ammo is usable for certain animals, go into the codex and find that animal. there you can see what classes of ammo are acceptable

Tks guys, worth buying the DLCs?
I got only the classic atm, seens i have 3 diferent maps to hunt, im at Hirschfelden i only found some deers lol

I dont know if my weapon would kills that bisons that seens we have on the map, im using that first weapon Rancher 223 or something like that, need more score to buy better weapons, theres a lot of weapons there, i need to learn about them to see which one i choose, still 2 days of play, i have a bunch things to learn lol

Atm im using the ranger 223, and i got 2 types of ammo, the expansion one and the polymer, seens like the polymer do less damage, and the deer flee bleeding lol

first im thinking to keep cash and buy the binocular with telemeter, to try a better close shot, because even aiming at the head, the bullet dont hit there, i think that rancher 223 has not a good shot after 100 mts, idk yet lol

btw sorry about some english mistakes, im still learning it

Don't aim at the head. You won't pass integrity check. You want to pierce the lungs and heart to take the animal down quicker, and get full trophy score. you can try hitting the lower neck, but that's not an easy shot to hit.

The .243 is pretty underpowered for anything bigger than class 3 animals, though it's technically usable for animals up to class 6.

You can get instant access to more powerful weapons through any of the weapons packs. Alternatively, you can work on building your rifle score and cash reserves high enough to get a more powerful gun.

There are also a couple of nice weapons that come with map DLC's, the .303 and the .300 mag. But you do either have to completely finish the missions for those maps or have a certain rifle score to buy them.

Theres a rifle that u can say Is there a rifle that you can say "this rifle is great for killing any kind of animal?"

For complete weapons i need to buy this "theHunter: Call of the Wild™ - 2021 Edition " ???

The diference between this and the complete edition is the maps??

But buying those packs all weapons will be free to pursharse?

There's not really any one rifle that's great for killing all classes of game.

You can technically hunt all classes with the Grelck drilling rifle, but it's awkward to use IMO. You can hunt all classes with any of the compound bows if you carry all 3 arrow weights.

For the folllowing classes, these are the best guns (in my opinion):

1: .22 virant rifle or 12 ga pump shotgun
2: .243 or .223
3: .243
4: 6.5mm, M1, .303
5-6: .303
7-8: .300, Kudzik .50 cal, 7mm
9: .300 or .338
Wolves: .454 rhino pistol

These are highly subjective. If you ask 10 different people, you'll probably get the same number of answers.

If you buy the weapons packs, all the weapons in them are instantly unlocked and free.

I have no idea what's in the 2021 version or the 'complete edition', so can't offer an opinion. The weapons that come in the map DLC's either have to be unlocked through completing missions, or through building up your weapon score to unlock them. In the case of the .300, you have to buy the Yukon DLC, build up a considerable rifle score, and pay a good deal of ingame credits for it. Totally worth it in my opinion if you like to hunt large game.

As a general caliber that can handle the 4-8 range pretty reliably, 30-06. Smoking Weapons pack, or Weapon Pack 3 have different rifles in that caliber, M1, and the Eckers.

It can and will put down moose so long as you line up a side shot for a double lung, just dont take a reckless shot, and use polymer for high penetration.

Weapon pack 3 also brings the 22 pistol in for fun times with rabbits and birds, and finally it gives you the .45 air rifle which is an interesting 2-4 weapon in its own right.

What I do not recall is if it lets you get the weapon for free or you still have to buy it with the ingame money.

https://thehuntercotw.fandom.com/wiki/Weapon_Pack_3 gives you a little something to read up on the weapons.

Personal experience with the air rifle, walked up on a herd of pronghorns in SRP, dropped 4 of them.

too complex game lol
Lakel Apr 27, 2021 @ 8:43am
Its like this, class 4 deer like White tails and such, you use ammo that has a minimum range no higher than 4. 30-06 being one of the more versatile since it gets full score between 4-8, and has the power to reliably take down the 8s.
Class 1 tends to be rabbits, ducks, geese. 2 for Coyotes and fox.
Class 4-8 is most deer, boars, goats, sheep and such. Class 9 being your really big boys like bison and buffalo.

i took a look into all bullets, kinda fast read, i might be wrong, but i only saw 2 kinds of ammo for each rifle, isnt it? Like expansion one and polymer

Classic is an entirely different game. Call of the Wild is the paid game, and each of the dlcs are seperate. Weapon Pack 3 being its own bunch of 3.

From the sounds of it though you want "thehunter Classic", not The Hunter: Call of the Wild.
In that case you can ask steam support for a refund provided you havent played 2 hours yet.
Can't say I know much about thehunter Classic myself though.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/253710/theHunter_Classic/ would be the right page.

.30-06 will take down moose, but you might have to track them for several hundred yards after shooting them even if you hit a lung. With the current bug that makes it impossible to harvest an animal once it's gotten more than about 400m away, I wouldn't count on being able to harvest a bull moose shot at 150m with .30-06.

The air rifle is okay. The penetration drops off on it pretty sharply past 100m though, so you'll have a hard time taking animals farther than that. If you're trying to hunt deer with it, you're generally going to have to track them quite a ways after you shoot them.

It's not a very complex game. Just pick a weapon with appropriate ammo for the animal you want to hunt, and then go shoot it.

I do most of my hunting with the .22 rifle, .243 (starter gun), M1 or .303, and the .300. That covers all classes, and gives enough penetration and stopping power for taking longer shots and making sure they drop before they go past render distance.

nah i dont want to refound, just wanna know about the DLCs, those are for Wild or classic?

Or Wild is a "payd" version of the classic with more stuff???

But after i buy the wild, i cant buy the bundles, but i can buy some DLCs to help me like weapons and high tech, etc. So Weapon pack 3 has the pack 2 and 1 inside?
Tspacheco Apr 27, 2021 @ 10:24am
Im ready to buy here 4 DLC's

Weapon 1, 2 and 3
And High tech

Seens all weapons has a diferent stuff, and steam let me buy all of 3, so i need to buy all 3 not only 3

Steam should do like every other kind of bundles to buy, if u have any of it, u have a discount and buy the other but this one u already have
