I am the opposite. I sit up there so much, I hate coming down and seeing the map from a 5-6' perspective.
They work great for duck. Most time they don't spook when you get in. I will choose a tripod over a layout blind anyday. When there is no fowl, you hunt deer, moose, fox or hog.

There are alot of players who are more into an arcade style of gameplay, who just want to be able to start up the game, and than start shooting right away.
There's nothing wrong with that, there's many different ways to enjoy COTW.
And for that reason you cant expect every aspect of such a dynamic game to be pigeon-holed into your particular interest
Tripods were not introduced to make game spawn around it for you to shoot ducks in a barrel. Tripods do not create a hunting environment for you.
How much game will be available in any area is going to depend on alot more than just setting up a stand and expecting animals to start circling you. LOL
Same when a wolf pack shows up too. It's all a matter of getting it set up and in it before they attack.
There's no way you have bagged 1134 diamonds without outside 'assistance'. It's amazing how many people feel the need to admit their crime in public, But I guess, why artificially inflate the yield if you don't tell people about it? ;)
