"Mucking in" (Yukon mission)

Has anyone done this mission where you need to examine Harlequin Duck droppings & Grizzly droppings in Stonewater basin.
I have done the Grizzly part but unable to finish the duck one as spotting the duck droppings does nothing?

Strange, yea I finished this mission a couple months ago. I just went to the lake when the ducks were close to the shore, and carefully started walking towards the ducks. They flew away and some droppings were near shore, I clicked said droppings and it completed the mission for me.
