For all the others you mentioned 30.06 or M1 work great.
M1 ( 30-06 Poly )
.243 ( poly ammo )
.22r ( for class 1 )
good hunting
classic 270
7mm
303
m1
7.5
30.6
all are good guns for 4 to class 6 you can hunt 7 with all of them but i prefer the 7mm or a bigger caliber for bears
Looks like I'm going to have to find something different for lynx though to pass harvest check. Going back and forth on whether to buy the .223 for lynx/coyotes/musk deer, or stick with the trusty old .243. I really like the reach of the .223, but it seems like the game really undervalues how much damage it does. Any thoughts, guys?
edit - soft tip ammo works really well for Colorado, but not getting enough penetration on the bigger animals in Russia, so will be switching to poly for that
For class 9 I ussualy use 338. ,9.6 or 7 mm.If you dont have in mind to buy any dlc the 7mm is your best choice for class 4-9.
Consider the 30-30 if you can reliably get within 75m on the lynx. Has good iron sights.
