get rid of those rabbits!
does anyone else dislike the rabbits? i find them annoying and distracting from what i really want to hunt. i'm in a hunting blind waiting for a moose (for a mission) and all i hear are rabbits

i did but because they estabilished the location as a feeding ground, they kept returning. out of frustration, i harvested them but the area then, of course, had developed a pressure zone

I dislkie not having them at Hirschfelden. There should be Gemse, Auerhahn, Feldhase, and so on.

only other option my friend is to move the blind then, yeah bunnies are kind of like elk, they like to return to feeding/need zones. curse those wasskily wabbits !!!!!

Rabbits are fun. They are just too loud when they move. Devs should tone it down, thats all.

Squirrels and rabbits freak out new hunters in the midwest during deer season. They smash around on leaves and stuff, sounds like a larger animal like a deer is rustling around. You eventually learn how to tell the difference, notable the squirrels and rabbits are louder and make noise much more often compared to the slow careful walk of a deer when it is calm.

REAL life, you spend weeks setting up the perfect spot to put up your tree stand, all the deer sign is there, you wake up 4 am opening day, its ALL PERFECT. Dawn come's , you get to your perfect tree stand, check all your gear, safety , protein bars, cozy, ready to glass AND OUT OF NO WHERE ! some greedy squirrel 50 yards away decides, on that morning, it's time to start collecting acorns for the winter. "NO big deal", you say. By 11 am you realize you are in this guys kitchen ! He keeps crunching in the leaves here, there, up the tree. Silence ! for once! a
minute later, scratch scoff sciff all those sounds that might be a deer.. 1 pm that little rat with a tail is still laughing at you becasue he's still collecting his nuts. 4pm , time to head back to camp knowing you got your azz kicked ! I don't care how many years you've hunted, that squirrel thing is very hard to overcome. :) but that's huntin.

I had a squirrel play games with me last year. There were 2 days left and our milo field hasn't seen deer for a while, just turkeys and that damned squirrel. He pestered me that whole week with the same bit. Literally got in front of my stand and would go straight left to straight right and back again, back and forth. After a few hours that day I hit him with my .223 AR. Wasn't much to eat, boiled him up and de-boned for my lab to eat later that night. It was a diet meal since there was only half of it left but I did not waste!

After shooting him it wasn't 10 minutes later my dad shot a doe 250 yards to the east of me behind one of the old fencelines overgrown with trees, the gunshot likely nudged her out of her bedding spot for that afternoon. Funny how stuff like that works, I got to kill the A-hole that had been playing with me almost that entire week and my dad got to tag out.

I don't hunt the rabbits and don't use a shotgun in this game.
I don't hunt ducks or geese either.
I'd prefer to hunt Big Game only.

I think the " Rabbit " notification and warning calls can be turned off...
But I haven't done that... so I don't know for sure.

They are annoying with their excessively loud warning thump...
But for me... the warning calls and checking those is the most annoying and wasted time for me.
I always have to check... as I think it might be a warning call of something I do hunt.

Wish they'd never added rabbits at all.

But in the beginning... I guess they're good for adding XP and some cash.
And they're generally easy to harvest.

But I'll not shoot at them and scare off the Big Game I intend to hunt.

Managed to run into some rabbit feeding zones just a bit ago while chasing blacktail. Zapped 4 rabbits with the .22lr rifle, trick is to slowly walk to the carcass of the one you shoot and they will not run too far. Got a few golds I took pics of. After the rabbits I got a blacktail warning call and managed to bag a doe with the .223 after a few hits on the bleat caller, it wasn't a bad game session.

I also love the rabbits. Bow rabbit hunting is fun! Mostly I use the shotguns for that job though.
