How does your dog alert you about being close to spooking animal?
Hey there, everyone. I've been searching google and the discussions, and can't find anything concrete about this. How does your dog alert you when you're close to spooking an animal? Does it whine, bark, fart? Lol, seriously though, I would be so grateful if someone could clarify this for me.

On a second note, how much does the 6th sense ability help with this? I have an issue with spooking animals that I'm tracking. Mainly due to me working 12 hours shifts, and not having 3 hours to dedicate to tracking one animal, so I can get in a bit of a rush lol. I'd really like if my dog would tell me when to slow down.

Thanks, everyone! ^_^

Well, there is that suppressed, rather quiet bark the dog makes. I believe the dog wants to alert me to game or tracks near by.
Then there is the whining. I had my dog do that with game close by and in plain sight. Felt like level2...
And then there is the growling. That indicates a predator close by, dead or alive. Even if the dog finds the predator dead after tracking a blood trail, it will still growl until I harvest the animal.

I've had the dog whimper and the "critical position" message pop up twice now while I was completely unaware an animal was close to me. A bear at about 70 yards and a bull moose. I forget how far the moose was, maybe 40 yards. The dog also alerted me to a lioness in tall grass about 40 yards away and I had no idea it was there. I was approaching a lake from the west looking for jackal at the time. I was not looking for lions at all. The dog works.
I usually crouch walk at the fast setting giving me two bars of sound generation. I easily get inside of 70 yards at this speed without being detected.

I made a little video partially in response to this question here. What the community is unsure of is if the animal needs to be spotted or not. It looks like if the animal has not been previously spotted the chance of critical position is very low. if previously spotted very high. The info in the video is just info witnessed so far.
