I dont think so. Thats a level of realism most wouldnt accept. Would kind of be good if it did though. Some play for a hunting experience some literally what animals lined up in front of them so they can just shoot them. I guess they have to strike a balance.

my method in the game is pursuing the animals, always on the move and never wait/sit in bushes or a blind and lure them to me. so my dog scaring them off would be very bad, make them constantly run and i'd never catch up.

Yeah I guess taking a dog wouldnt be suitable for all play styles or hunting everything. Thats part of the game though choosing which equipment best suits what youre trying to do.

I dont think the dog or whistling spooks animals. I dont even think other animals spook animals. Nor do lures or loading cocking weapons etc.

The dog can spook animals if they get too close.

Dogs can spook if they get to the animal very close. But it's bark, howl trait, and player whistles do not.

animal dont react to barking dog or your commands but they can react sometimes when doggy stands up or began to move, i noticed.

I dont thing the dopey dog spooks prey BUT just to be safe i send it on track and when its away from me make it lie down before I set up for a deer calling session or a serious stalk. Dumb A..dog pushes me backward and sits dead center in front of me when im prone to take a shot so I have to move the moron hahaha

when you tell the dog to heel, for the most part, it stays on your left side
most of the pushes I get are when I am zigzagging and the dog is just matching my direction changes
when I go for the final stalk/kill, I always tell the dog to lay. The only problem there is if you crawl more than 50 yards away from the dog, the dog gets up and starts following you again and you have to tell it to lay down again

I have found that the dog's squeak toy can definitely be heard by the animals
