Mallard duck issue
They were near impossible to find and i never seen them flying so i cannot call them. I finally found some, they fly at about 250 yards, I have since found many zones for them but they are 100% useless because unless I scare them they are NEVER in flight. The ONLY mallards in flight are those i shoot at which are at 250 plus yards. I cant call them in to the useless decoys because there are NONE in flight. I have seen ducks in one map actually in flight but I think its a map you cannot hunt them.

Anyone else with this issue? Is it another in the massive list of bugs that were introduced the last patch?

What you're experiencing is not a bug that came along with the late June update. Duck hunting problems existed long before then. The devs did a little propping up in how ducks respawn and in their distribution on the Layton Lakes reserve. U might have better luck if you get set up and start using the caller at least 5 min before the posted start time of the zone even though there's not a duck in sight. They are fully able to hear your caller before you have a chance to see them and if you're waiting to see them before thinking about using the caller then you could be missing opportunities. Mallards will not continue to drop in out of the sky all morning long at any setup. One or two little bunches might come in and it's time to move to another place you've got a set up. Once mallards get settled in on the water it's nearly impossible to coax them into shotgun range so for those that hang out 75-100 meters from shore I carry the .22 rifle.

Dito on setting up decoys and blinds in several locations. In this game it's not wise to believe you can spend a nice little morning duck hunting from a single blind. The max number of decoys you can set out on a map is 100. That equates to 5 positions with 20 decoys at each one. Hopping between those 5 locations and you could wind up with 10 or more ducks is a rather short period of time and then it's time to go hunt something else.

I finally had two flocks fly over a zone I was sitting on a tripod in looking for something else. I tossed out some decoys real quick and never seen another..... It was shortly before a zone time. They were easy to hear so I can say with certainty that was the first ones on that map i have ever heard or seen....

I haven't bothered with mallard luring much, I just shoot them while they're in a lake and wait for the carcasses to float toward me (which they do)

I was hoping the calling them in worked because I was going to use them with the 22LR pistol for handgun score.... Otherwise yes, the 22LR rifle works fine.
