Harlequin ducks where and when?

I've been on the lake to the east at midnight and in the morning, I've waited an hour in my waterfowl blind, I put 10 decoys in the water on 3 different spots along the river/lake. I've never seen a single one, any tips?

It's not broken at all.

Found 3 zones on the lake south east of the map at 6am.

I have seen lots of Harlequin duck. Just not hunting them right now.
The river that runs from n to s is where most of the ducks are.
They used to be in the western lakes but they changed that a while back. The only lakes I see them in now are along the river I mentioned. That river goes to the west at the bottom of the map. There are ducks in that area now where there didn't used to be any.
Who knows where they will be after the next patch.

Ducks and any Bird in COTW is EXTREMELY skiddish.


Walking 150m away from a pond can scare the ducks away.

also the caller only works for 500m which is not alot when it comes to birds.
