Recently added this reserve to collection and glad I did, loving the look of it and the hunter is great, this has to be my fav out of all the reserves.

Yup I love it. Some people hate how many animals there are. while it is easy to find animals you still have to weed through a ton of small ones to find the big ones so I don't mind it. I really like the look of it too.

People say this reserve is overpopulated. To be honest every reserve have places where you can do cash farming and on every reserve there are empty places. The same is about Silver Ridge. So I've changed my mind and I don't think that this reserve is overpopulated. Silver Ridge has just a lots of open spaces so you can make many kills easily.

One of my favourite reserves. Many new trees, bushes, greatly done vegetation makes this map unique. I don't understand why the graphic artwork isn't even noticed by players. Many people still prefer Yukon but in my opinion graphically it looks dull, especially red areas, add to that insuficient number of species.

So yes, the quality of Silver Ridge is great, hope the devs will continue to keep that standard for future maps.

I also like silver ridge, I used to be kind of bummed out by the fact that there were no side quests. But then I looked at the achievement section and realized how few people actually does the quests so I guess it would be a waste of development time.

Well that number is kinda off because it also takes into account everyone that does not even own the DLC.

Correct. But even on the main quest for layton or hirschfelden the completion rate for the mainquest arcs is about 3% and everybody that owns the hunter cotw has access to those quests

If your use the animal population scanner you will find that Silver Ridge has less animals than Layton Lake. Medved has the least amount of animals. I think the reason Silver Ridge looks to have more animals is the open space allowing you to see a few heard's much easier, and how big the size of the heard's can be. Personally before Silver Ridge came out i mostly played on Hirsh, but with animal spawning broken i moved to Park Fernando which i fell in love with because i love Red Deer. Personally there are maps now for everyone, some are less populated than others and those that doe offer bigger animal population doesn't mean its going to be any easier to find those big animals. If anything its more work to get those diamonds (if that's what your end goal is) to spawn.

Then for those who want even more animals you can get mods which increase animal population on each reserve from double up to 8x depending on what size population is more to your taste.
i bought this when it came out and it crashes every time i load it up.

It's not just how many there are it's how stupid they are! You can watch 3 or 4 herds standing around of different species and when you shoot at one herd of animals the others will just stand there like idiots. You can kill many animals very quickly. If you just sit and wait they will all come back to the very same spot very quickly as well. The hunting pressure doesn't seem to have any affect.
