Awesome work with sound and night-vision!
Footsteps of nearby animals sound more real than ever! It actually felt like I was really hunting down a nearby animal. Night vision works awesome! Other than moonlight interfering a bit if I am looking in the moon's direction (probably realistic), night vision is almost tempting to keep using even while walking at night.

Great job devs! Don't change a thing with the sound or NV!

I wasn´t aware they have changed the nightvision. What has changed? I´m curious because I also own that DLC but I couldn´t really use it, because it actually made me see less 95% of the time.

I didn't know something has changed in night vision either, but the sound... I don't know. I guess I have mixed feelings even though I was excited at first. Still have to play more to test it. Echo for weapons and callers is awesome. Love it. Gives a sense of massive space around me. Animals can be heard from reasonable distance, not to far, not to close. Seem nicely balanced. New jingles are refreshing and some new additional sounds are nice touch.
But overall volume balance seems off. I turned up the volume, because footsteps are much quieter now, just to hear loud WHAM while opening the door to an outpost.
And my favorite footsteps sound from surfaces with small rocks is gone from the game. Loved that gravely, crunchy feel under my feet. Not to mention the new/upgarded sound for snow gives impression that character has more than two legs.
Overall I feel the potential, but some finetuning would be fantastic.

I noticed the improvements on night vision as well. Good stuff.
Overall sounds seem to be way better, but I'm really not sure I'm listening the echoes of the gunshots. I'm currently hunting at Medvev-Taiga mainly with .300 and .30-06 (M1) and the sound of the shots seemed kinda the same as before to me. But I'm really not sure.

Guys, are the echoes subtle or should I check for issues on my game?

I'm getting small echos from using callers and gunshots. I was near a Rocky hill when I heard them.

Yeah, I was wondering if the echoes are ambient-related. The forests at Medvev are really quiet. Not sure if the implementation of the echoes are that sofisticated, though, haha.

Sometimes I think I hear a bit of echo, but I always think if it isn't some kind of placebo. I'm verifying the game files integrity just for safety.

So do you actually need night vision now or is it still so light that the regulars sights work just as well.

I love the sound volume change. I absolutely hated that animals were forest ninjas and I was the noisiest animal in the forest.

Agreed, I'm really impressed with the corrected animal sounds, after playing a bit on 4 different reserves. The gun echo does seem to depend on where you are, which is really nice.

The night vision equipment improvement is also awesome. Using regular binoculars/sights at night is still possible, but the flashlight appears to be toggled off in that mode.

It does seem like there is still an issue with looped brush sounds on Parque Fernando when you have left the brushy area and are walking in clear/low grass. Stopping and then walking again fixes it like it did previously.

You need this DLC:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1146830/theHunter_Call_of_the_Wild__HighTech_Hunting_Pack/
It contains a nightvision binocular and a nightvision weapon scope which activate just by using them.

Much better on the sound front! Well done devs.. credit where it's due :) Sneaky bow hunting in the woods is back on!

It's also great to not have the erroneous hunt club beta notifications stacked up when you first start the game.

I´m so glad about the lowered footstep volume and the other sound adjustments.
Good job devs.

In addition, those tracer arrows are available in all three weights, unlocked, so you can use those on larger game when you haven't unlocked the stock ones yet. I seem to remember there were issues using the rangefinder bow sight with stock arrows--not sure if that's still a thing.
