But overall volume balance seems off. I turned up the volume, because footsteps are much quieter now, just to hear loud WHAM while opening the door to an outpost.
And my favorite footsteps sound from surfaces with small rocks is gone from the game. Loved that gravely, crunchy feel under my feet. Not to mention the new/upgarded sound for snow gives impression that character has more than two legs.
Overall I feel the potential, but some finetuning would be fantastic.
Overall sounds seem to be way better, but I'm really not sure I'm listening the echoes of the gunshots. I'm currently hunting at Medvev-Taiga mainly with .300 and .30-06 (M1) and the sound of the shots seemed kinda the same as before to me. But I'm really not sure.
Guys, are the echoes subtle or should I check for issues on my game?
Yeah, I was wondering if the echoes are ambient-related. The forests at Medvev are really quiet. Not sure if the implementation of the echoes are that sofisticated, though, haha.
Sometimes I think I hear a bit of echo, but I always think if it isn't some kind of placebo. I'm verifying the game files integrity just for safety.
The night vision equipment improvement is also awesome. Using regular binoculars/sights at night is still possible, but the flashlight appears to be toggled off in that mode.
It does seem like there is still an issue with looped brush sounds on Parque Fernando when you have left the brushy area and are walking in clear/low grass. Stopping and then walking again fixes it like it did previously.

It contains a nightvision binocular and a nightvision weapon scope which activate just by using them.
Good job devs.
