Do corpses attract predators?
Say i shoot a deer and leave the corpse there.... then set up a blind.... will predators come to investigate?

no

Well that really depends for example:
I shot an Axis deer and didn't harvest it right away and when I finally did a Puma was chowing down on it.
also
shot a Reindeer once and left it for a while and when I went to harvest it a pack of wolves were feasting on it.
So IMO it may just be possible.
I have screenshots of both if needed to verify.

I would like to see them please . I'm pretty sceptical , so they might just convince me .
We would know about that behavior being in the game if it were intended , implemented like that , no ?

There's been anecdotal stories of it, but I haven't seen it myself.

@NuCkEnFuTs - are you sure that they weren't just passing by? I must admit, I don't own SRP or PF, but in Russia I have never witnessed any such behavior, and certainly not in Layton, Hirschfelden, CC, VS. I have around 450h on record.

Huh, crazy. The more you know...

@ NuCkEnFuTs ... Hmm, these pics don't really show what you say though , which was animals feeding on corpses . They could be passing there just randomly and by luck .
Or , you could have called them there too. A possibility for sure .
Sorry , but thanks for sharing them still . Your a good sport .

If one day a EW staff member would confirm that there is actually this behavior implemented in the game, i'll believe it then .

This.

Not a single screenshot is proofing the claim that there is behavior like that programmed.

In fact: the developers even said that animals (of different species) don't react upon each other. Like a warning call from X animal won't affect Y animal and literally any other interaction from one animal won't affect an animal from another species.

What ever I don't really care what you think, I bino'd them and they said eating, should have taken that pic maybe, but like I said I don't really care what you think.

I know this isn't true. I have had a puma "call out" near a group of ducks and they flew away with the fleeing tag.

Really why the @#$% would I Lie? I've got over 2000 hours in the game and have seen more than you probably could imagine in the game.

Of course it is a possibility and i did not say you were lying !
I don't know you , beside taking this way to personal and in a rude way ,and insulting us .

You said you had pics of animals '' Feeding '' on corpses . I asked to see them and you showed pics not showing what you were sayings in the end .

You don't have to be rude like that .

Above , you say you don't care what we think . And then , this reply . So which is it !?

Hmm so inconclusive atm then i guess. I was going to say that i left adeer out and did hear cyote calls real quick after.... but... this was right between a deer feed zone and a cyote rest zone... so may have just been coincidence.

Kinda needed a cyote kill aswell so didnt sit around observing them, just took the shot. I may go back to that spot and see if they feed on it.... or just rest near it :)

My guess would be that if it is a possibility only the predators that actively chase and spook animals (wolves, felines) would exhibit the behaviour and that coyotes, and bears would not.
