Night Hunting

I do not hunt at night very often, But for those who do, Do you see any advantages over day time hunting?

The night vision binoculars allow you to see/pickup animal tracks and whatnot from farther out. Sometimes I will pickup a trail or need zone that I wouldn’t have seen in the day.

Other than that it just switches things up a bit.

Night time is easier to find need zones for animals like coyote and other animals that are active at night. I tend to hunt coyotes at night even though I can find them during the day as I can find them drinking and eating at night.

I was about to say this, for those who need Coyotes. If you check the need zones of each map, the night time could get you some kills you're probably not working atm. Its usually the best time to go for predators.

there are a few alot of preditors are drinking wolves bears coyotes deppends on which map ur on and they give mor cash and u might occationaly come accross deer i prefer hunting at day but night hunting has its own advantages

On the MEDVED TAIGA map we see a lot of beautiful linx at night, during the day we also see a lot but not as much as at night.

I agree with @Yukontrapper and during night snow provides a good contrast for hunting animals. Also i can't see my reticle well on spotted animal when it's dark, anyone know the solution?

To answer your question : no , there are no advantages hunting at night vs. daytime .

Now , the animals are all there when you start a game , so , if you see more at night , it's simply that you are in the right area at the right time .

You have the same chances at night than during daytime to find animals .

I'll go as far as saying , that you have better odds , chances of SEEING animals during daytime vs. night time because of SEEING better around you .
So in the end , daytime advantage .

For some reason, a lot of players never night hunt. I think they are missing out on a lot. The animals are often moving around, doing things they never do, or rarely do, during the day. (Such as wolves drinking.)

They can also be in areas that they are not in during the day. For example, on my Parque Fernando map there is a large herd of red deer that go up in to the desert area (looks like Mars) in the northwest part of the map; I've shot 2-3 diamonds there at night. There is nothing at all there during the day.

For me, it's just the ambiance. Sometimes, hunting at night just has that "feel" to it, you know?

I hate wasting money on sleep because I am cheap, so I play both.

To me, it is the variety and experiencing the game in a different way. Changing binoculars, changing sights, and changing the way I view the horizon. Some areas that were empty during the day, come to life at night.

I have had the most success hunting coyotes during the 3AM-7AM Eating need zone time frame.

I really hate to hunt at night. that is when all the weird really loud annoying repeat noises start to happen.
