P'YANTY FOREST , IN MEDVED TAIGA .

I would like to know , if you ever search , visit this forest when you are in this map .

If you do , do you actually go inside , at the bottom or do you just go on the edge and look around for some animals ?

If that is the area inside the crater, I use to go down in there. There was typically a moose or two or a couple of bears. Last three or four times I checked though there was nothing to be found, not even any tracks.

Yes, it is a kind of crater .
I went also couple times and not much happening .
I will mostly go on the edge and just look around .

Yeah . As you guys see in the pic, i saw a Lynx and harvested it , no tracks were to be seen elsewhere .

I've gone in the Permafrost crater and harvested several Reindeer and Moose, seen a lot of game hanging out in it.

If you hang out near one of the few ways in and out you'll be able to harvest some nice animals.

I think we are experiencing the Elk/Moose European language mix up here.

Translation of it is Drunken Forest, crater is actually place where permafrost has melted and ground has given away because of that, melting permafrost is becoming big problem because of climate change in Siberia and other Arctic regions.
Crater itself usually dont have much animals inside but around the crater rims in the forest there are quite a lot of animals, mostly moose, lynx and musk deer.

Medved is my favorite map. I usually hunt the crater either really early in morning before the sun comes up waiting for the animals to come down to drink in the pond, or I hunt it just when it is getting dark. Lynx prowl the edge of the crater looking down into it, moose, musk deer and bears like to drink the water.

I'll have to try that whenever i get back there . I like discovering new spots to hunt for sure .

I forgot to add I usually walk to the crater from the closest outpost which is only like 400m away. The animals tend spook easier here so be careful entering don't let them know your there. The moose are very cautious here. If they smell you they will run. Look for zones there are plenty of them. Now mind you because the animals are spooked easier here they are harder to get. I have shot some pretty good Moose bulls in the crater. If look for the ice meter that was put in the crater during the missions that will give you a good indication of where to setup a hunt. I usually sit about 200m so that they can't smell you.
