Mule Deer

Despite all the issues associated with getting this to diamond. I been steady hammering it. I hunting it at SRP and I killing all the species there, but mostly steering for the mules. Then today this happens:

The top range number was 359, I thought for sure it was gonna go diamond with how big it was. To be that close ... Oh well, back to it tomorrow!

Jeez so close but not quite, yeah I been trying to do the same on Parque Fernando...I keep seeing alot of level 3s.

I think the Mule deer in PF were been broken even before TruRac came along. I'm seeing a few level 4s but nary a hint of a level 5. That being said this Mule is bigger than any I've found lately on the SRP or PF reserves. Maybe when SRP was released with some of them being labeled as Level 6s and 7s they pulled all the 5, 6 and 7s out fix things but forgot to put the 5s back into the game.

The Red Deer in Hirsch are similar. Level 8 Mythical ends up a gold. Don't think I've bagged a diamond yet.

This guy here shot in Parque Fernando is the biggest I've got in 2 months, his big brother is nowhere to be seen it seems.

Well,It can get worse... I have bagged a lvl 5 on PF. Many hrs spent trying, tracking, and many lvl4 golds never a diamond... and then OMG a lvl 5 Mule cant, believe it. Nailed it nice clean kill, finally a 5. Only to find it still didnt make a diamond. So dont get too hope full even if you do see one, theres a chance it still wont make the grade. now im just grinding out male mules and the blackbucks. Its driving me nuts

On silver ridge peaks i got 2 mule diamonds,and messed up one with non vital shot)
one before the trurack and one after trurack update
both where lvl 5 (you instantly know).
PArque i got 3 on my old save ..on my new save i am just setting up the map with tents and tripods.
I kill mules and deer(sometimes the whole herde)
Dont know who ever sayd you only need to kill males....
BEcuase when i thin out a heard of females the respawns are males or vise virsa.(or mixed)
I dont track search diamonds...most of my diamonds came from walking in to them.
tracking them is hard to do becuase those diamonds are verry skittish
Or have the map full of tents and tripods ect (you see a lot more in a tripod)

The devs on their live stream have said a male repops as a male, and a female as a female. The gender isn't random.

Kraxin is right about the replacement animals being of the same gender. That being said, replacement animals are not hard wired to spawn into the same herd or area in which we've killed the animal they are replacing. So when you kill a few bucks in various places their replacements could well spawn into a herd that only had does in it before.
