I've shot 2 foxes with my bow using two different types of arrow - one appropriate for them and one that wasn't. Yet this mission still refuses to complete! What the hell is going on!?

For fox use the 300 grain arrow (smallest arrows/bolts). Are you suppose to be in a specific area and therefor it doesn't count? I finished the main missions in Hirsch about week ago and it all worked for me.

you need to use 60lb bow in the certain area of the map

Oh yea you are right, there was a mission that said to use the 60lbs. Thank you.

I did what the mission asked, and yet it took me no less than 4 dead foxes with a 60lb bow to get the credit.

Viking.....YOU did not give the details of the mission in your original post and then say you have a hard time completing it. That omission is why McSquirt asked for the details. Why should we have to google the mission details when you can provide them on your original post?

In fact had you given the details you probably would have realized you were using the wrong bow to begin with.

You know how there's always someone on a tech-forum, when you ask which direction to turn a screw when mounting your PSU, that'll go: "Well, how can anyone POSSIBLY be expected to help you with this when you didn't provide the serial number on your motherboard!?"

Fun fact: I wasn't using the wrong bow. I was using the same bow from start to finish. The mission says to use a 60lb bow to hunt and harvest 2 foxes within a limited area, as has already been mentioned. Information that is also readily available. It really does not matter that I did not inlcude the exact quest text in my post. It has absolutely nothing to do with this issue, and the fact that this game's mission system clearly has issues when it comes to registering your actions.

But if you think you're being helpful by accusing me of using the wrong bow, or if you want to somehow delegitimize the problem because I didn't write my post the way you'd want me to, that's fine. Enjoy that.

Ironic that all the people who came with helpful replies apparently had no issue doing so. Regardless, there isn't much help to be had when it comes to simple bugs.

I shot 2 with the DLC 60lb bow and it didnt work. switched to the starting compound and completed it no problem
