IMHO the primary challenge of implementing a fully intuitive multiplayer system, at the moment, is the lack of anti-cheat. Sadly cheating in COTW is easy right now and there is no way we would be able to have fair competitions until that is resolved. The vast majority of the work on COTW to this point has been getting the core game to be as good as it can be. One might assume the multiplayer aspect is a secondary priority.
So if it is the same game as CotW with a bit of added content which is just the same DLC, which version gets any updates when available, such as new maps, tweaks, bug fixes, etc.
Makes no sense to do a newer version that is the same as the last, another thought and that is, when and will the version I have be updated to 2021 version or have I just wasted money on another game?.
All versions are the same game plus a few DLCs already activated. Just check what DLCs they come with and then make up your mind which works best for you.
They all get the same terrible patch support anyway ;D
Just look at them if money matters to you, if not just click and buy all.
And yes if you buy base game multiple times and multiple bundles with same content you will loose money
Hehe, that is the purpose of the gauss ;)
It's not possible to buy the base game multiple times, or multiple bundles, unless you are buying them as a gift. If you only buy the base game, but try to buy the 2021 version, for example, Steam will deduct the price of the base game and allow the rest to be purchased (and cheaper than if you buy each DLC individually). If you own everything already, you cannot buy the 2021 version for yourself, only as a gift for someone who does not have it.
That's exactly what I think.
What fooling is selling 2021 EDITION with content explained. Only fools that don't read anything can be fooled.
Thank you for bringing some sense to the "debate." It's called a bundle for a reason, and content within fully described.
