Like all items in this game, same colors stack weight. So if you have, say, 3 arctic colored ones, they'ed weigh 6 lbs, like it was one. But if you have one arctic and another color, it'd weigh 12 lbs.
EDIT: IMHO it's the best DLC of the game, tripods are my favorite thing.
I have wondered if it is feasible to have the pack on and haul my treestand around, set up, do some kills, take down stand and move on. But I am not sure if 1) the noise penalty for setting up the treestand, entering it (which I believe carries no noise penalty) and the noise penalty (and visibility penalty) for carrying a back pack (weather the small one or the medium sized one) around the woods. They probably are best used when set up in good spots and left there.
Also, as a side note, hunting from treestands/ tripods/hunting structures creates 1/4 the HP that a kill without them does. So that's a great thing.
When you want to move on, use the reverse process - backpack on, remove stand, drop stand in inventory, pack the tent and go wherever you want
