Size of all maps (in km²)
I've always wondered how big the 3 maps are. And because I didn't found an official statement I've checked it for myself today.

Pls keep in mind that the maps aren't perfect squares, so the real values are smaller.

Hirschfelden
  • Distance from north to south: 8,4 km
  • Distance from east to west: 7,5 km
  • Map size: 63 km²

Layton Lake District
  • Distance from north to south: 8,4 km
  • Distance from east to west: 7,8 km
  • Map size: 65,52 km²

Medved-Taiga
  • Distance from north to south: 7,4 km
  • Distance from east to west: 8,5 km
  • Map size: 62,9 km²

What about Yukon Valley, Vurhonga, Cuatro Colinas, Parque Fernando and Silver Ridge Peaks? Are they also cca. 64 KM²?

Generally speaking Yes, every map in The Hunter CoTW is rougly 64 sq. km land mass, playable area varies rougly 80% - 95% of given land mass.

Interesting. For me, Hirschfelden and Cuatro Colinas feel smaller than the other maps. Layton Lakes feels like it's the biggest one.

When I buy a new map, I drive around on the four-wheelers and get all lookout points and outposts. While doing this, on every map, hirschfelden was the map that took around 4-5 hours to get them all. Every other map took me around maybe 1-2 hours. Could've been the terrain on it but the biggest map to me personally feels like hirschfelden.

One thing I noticed is that Te Awaroa seems to be the first map a bit smaller than normal.
Can anyone confirm it?
