Reindeer vs Caribou
I always thought it was a little bit weird that in the new SRP reserve they made the Mountain Lion 100% identical to the Puma. As far as I know thats, the case, right? It's the same animal, just has a different name. Even details like need zone times, fur variants and trophy score ratings are the same, as far as I know.

Could it be that that's also the case for Reindeer and Caribou? I never considered they could be, because IRL they have different antlers and biologically are actually different subspecies that look slightly different. But I just compared their fur types and antler shapes in the game and to me it looks like in-game they might be the exact same, similar to Mountain Lion vs Puma?

Interesting...

But those two cases are the only cases where the animals are entirely identical, right? All other animals are at least somewhat different from one and another?

Reindeer, caribou, elk, wapiti. They go by many names but they're basically all the same animal.
There are minor differences but they're more like different breeds of dogs instead of distinct species.
