easiest hunting reserve?
I myself am pretty new and rarely see animals if at-all, and i'd like to get my friends into it too, but i want to give a good first impression, and not bore them with not finding anything. wich reserve would be the absolute best?

Layton Lake is probably the best for beginners. There's lots of animals and many of them are lower classes and relatively easy to kill. It also doesn't have any animals that will actively try to kill you. Just don't try to take on elk or moose with the starter rifle. It's way too small caliber.

i dont have it, but lot of hunter are saying that the easier is Silver Ridge ( the newest one ) with lot of animals

Just search some YouTube location videos (not too old ones ... maybe the population changed) and you see where the spots are.

Hunting without any knowledge where the hot spots are I would recommend silver ridge at the moment.... I saw many animals around, but this could have been luck .
Maybe some veteran players got better tips. Layton is also good.

You don't need any map knowledge to find game... Just spawn at your outpost/tent and sleep till 8am, open the map and put a marker on the closest edge of the nearest lake (if you really want to be cheaky make sure that the wind will blow into your face while going to the lake), if you get closer than 200m to your marker stop running (only walking or crouch walking from here on), circle the lake at about 50-100m to its egdes/beach - this way you should usually find some animals.

edit:
Just because I've played with some guys who were new to the game and almost all of them made the same mistakes. I know you are excited and you want to express that buy running around, jumping around, firing some shots into the air... keep that crap to yourself, you are just scaring the animals away - if you can't, buy a different game.

So yes, I assume you don't have any knowledge because you said so 😉

I didn't add the edit to make you feel bad but more because I made a lot of experience with new players and usually they are too loud and scare away all animals. It might sound harsh but it wasn't my intent to hurt your feelings.

edit:spelling

yeah, btw. if im running full sprint, how far away can animals generally hear me? i have a feeling im being way too careful at times

It depends on the level of the animals, the higher the level the further away they will hear/smell/see you. ~200m is a good mark to start getting stealthy although for really high levels this is already too close and they are gone - but for the majority of the animals 200m is okay.

Its a good idea to never sprint. I typically only sprint if A: I have just fired a shot B: I want to claim that harvest quickly and C: Im no longer hunting.

Also don't be wearing any backpacks, they emmit the sound equivalent of a marching band. This adds to your "so called" experienced hunter character who also behaves (sounds) like a class of grade schoolers on a field trip...

Silver ridge is a great map start you do need to watch on climbing its killed my guy more then anything else
Layton Lake. your biggest issue will be that awful rifle you get at the beginning. I recommend hunting small deer and any small games like coyote/rabbits/mallards until you get something more powerful.

as for your friends you are just going to have to ask them to be patient. The game only really picks up once you unlock guns powerful enough to drop bigger game.

If you own the right DLC you can pick up the 30.06 for free and the .22 cal is already free with the basic game so you can take the .22, .243 and the 30.06 and kill anything on LL or Hirschfield except Moose or Bison (which are class 8 and 9 animals) with full integrity right off the bat without having to grind up the money to buy the 7mm.

There is no .22 in the basic game. If you mean the Virant rifle, she's part of weapon pack 1 - if you mean the Andersson Pistol, it's part of weapon pack 3.
