investigate the area where baden dropped her phone.
i found the phone. and bear spray on a rock. but nothing else. the tracks just stop.

he mentions marks on a tree but nothing is there...
i stood on the markings and circles around.. bug?

I never shot the bear. To continue, i had to find her footprints behind the tree.

where you pick up the phone there is a tree right behind it walk up to it and it prompts you to interact with it and that activates the bear. you have to shoot the bear that appears for the story to continue.

thanks. i restarted and couldn't pick up the phone which kept nooting.

but i finally found the tree. after that it said "watch out a bear" and then it continued without any bears.

You do not have to shoot the bear. I just did this mission and the bear ran off and I continued the story just fine. Just have to find the items and the interact with the tree.

The story would not continue unless I shot the bear I had tried three times before that could not figure out what was wrong. Someone else posted on here that you have to shoot the bear which is what I did, and the story continued.

i didn't even see the bear and it continued anyway.

the bear will be directly behind you after the narrator states "look out a bear", you must shot it to continue.

Also, you don't need the bear spray for this mission, that's just a separate item that's been left lying around........

where you find the phone on the tree closest to you towards the lake you'll find claw marks, and a interact icon will appear on it, if walk toward the lake from there in front of you, you'll see two trees close together next to the one on the right you should find foot prints... for me there was bear tracks with them but don't know if that's always the case.. ps i shot the bear but didn't kill it and mission completed for me

The bear ran away from me. I did not shoot it. Now I'm stuck looking for tire tracks at the dino dig site. I found the person's foot prints, but can't find car tire tracks to take a picture of.

You'll need to restart that mission and shot the bear it's the only way the mission will continue.

there are also other who did not have this, and.. his mission continued already (got the prompt for the tracks) so there is no way he hasn't finished the previous one..
