If you're more interested in an entirely different suite of animals than something like Vurhonga Savannah or Cuatro Colinas may be your best bet.
If you tell me what kinds of animals you're interested in going after, I can recommend you a map if you'd like!
I can advise you what not to get if that's a help?
My opinion is to avoid Medved Taiga and Parque Fernando.
Vurhonga Savannah is ok, but sometimes you don't see an animal for ages, then when you do find em there are hundreds.
Cuatro Calinas is a lovely map, but it's spoiled by having 3 animals cut and pasted from Hirschfelden (Red deer, Roe Deer and Wild boar) and also having 3 types of sheep/Goats, which haven't got any callers, this makes bow hunting a real chore.
Alaska is a truly beautiful map but is let down by too many predators, moose (yet again) and no small (Whitetail size) deer.
Silver ridge peaks is easy to hunt and would be my choice.
Having said that it has goats and sheep, plus bison and Pronghorn deer, all without a caller.
It's helped by the ability to take plenty of long shots (150 to 400m) on these animals plus there seem to be loads of animals everywhere :)
Why not buy a weapon pack or two, they are cheap and you can use em immediately, with no in game cost, except for ammo :)
it is just enjoyable using the atv exploring each map, so relaxing and for the price of each map,
sum maps take a good part of the day to drive around.
+1
-The roe deer
-The predator 'jack rabbit" for wolf
You ll unlock other caller later(level 13 for board, and level 27 red deer) and it take time (30 to 60 hours)
SAVANNA you have 8 species you ll start with 2 callers.
-The buck"snort wheez" caller. With which you can hunt 3 different species (sprinbrok, blue wildebeast, lesser kudu)
-The predator 'jack rabbit" with which you can hunt 2 diffrents species (lion, and side-striped jackal)
-only at level 5 you unlock the anter ratler for gemsbock.
so with Savanna you can start hunting with caller 5 spécies and after few hours you ll can hunt 6 species with caller (hare and buffalo don't have caller)
ADVANTAGE of savanna gemsbok is easy to hunt and it give you lot of cash and believe me you'll need so much cash in this game !
For the last map Silver ridge yes it's a very good map but start with only 2 callers
you ll start with tukey caller's and deer "bleat caller" for mule deer.
and for elk caller its level 15 and for bear it's 25 (yes long time too)
Savanna is a good map. Not the best. But you starting the game and having A lot of species to hunt with caller quickly. Is just more pleasant. :) you'll hunt more animals so more xp and you'll unlock other callers most quickly(but it still long)
Savannah has the best quest line in the whole game with the beautifully thought out ghost jackal quests :)
