Are you supposed to crouch walk the whole time?

Or am I missing something? I seem to scare every animal off even if I'm just walking. Every trail and animal call I follow leads to nothing.

You won't reach an animal and NOT spook him by walking. So, If you are a stalker, you crouch or in the end, go prone.

I am an ambusher. I havent' got the perseverance for stalking. So I sit still in my tri-pod that I always carry with me.

Yeah, it would be nice for reduced noise from walking - crouching isn't so fun, far too slow as not real hunting. So, ambushing is pretty much the only answer.

I find myself right in the middle between ambush and stalker. At times i'll follow a herd/pack of animals for miles and take them 1 by 1, at other times i sit in a tree for hours, calling everything towards me. I find ambushing to be easier sometimes tho @OP

1300 hours. I didn't start killing Diamonds until crouch, sometimes fast-crouch. I'll walk across a large field though. I never get bored like I do in stands or tripods. I pick a spot to head towards, maybe 500yds away, put a marker on it and slow-go. Works great.

I cant handle 5 mins on a stand. terribly boring.
I walk till as close as i dare then fast crouch, then slow crouch and then prone if need to get closer.
