Crossbow sight

Hoe do you use the 3 pin crossbow sight? How do you know what pin to use?

If you have access to the Parque Fernando map/reserve there is a shooting range there that is good for bow.
Or use the one on Hirschfelden.
There is no numbers that is better than trying it out for yourself.

What Goltzhar said, even if told, ya should see for yaself, just realize zoomed in is different then not zoomed. I always stay zoomed, top dot is 25, middle is about 50. You'll also notice that 50+ the wind can start affecting the bolt, especially if wind in your face.

But definitely hit one of the ranges and test it out for yaself or you gonna get frustrated.

But thats how it works for me
and i only have tried it on Hirschfelden ( but its enough for me )

the 3 and 5 pin sight for the bow was bugged, unless it was fixed last patch, it was shooting high.

There's a really good guide for this somewhere in the Guides section on here, saw it back in the day. Ought to find it again, but search in the guides section. I never use the zoom with it because that changes each point drastically and would only confuse me. Using no zoom works fine for me anyway. The top pin serves me well from like 30 or so and just under it is around 45 iirc. Real close I take the scope off and just use the basic iron pin open sight thing. Elevation affects it too so if you are uphill from your target or in a stand you might have to hold a little above where you want to hit.

TYSM for the above precise data. I had my VERY first crossbow shot this night at a jackal in 50M range. It was a direct and fatal hit. A successful side mission on the savanna. Kuddos for sharing.
