The Elusive Lynx

Where is the best area to find lynx? I could walk through the entire region and not hear a single meow, or find a single track.

they hide in the bushes as they are very elusive animals .. i've had about 5 kills so far .. and they are a wonderful looking cat when you look at them in the scope/binoculars.
they also have a vey acute hearing/smell and will run for miles if you are running willy-nilly ...
all i can say is just keep a very good eye on the bushes and as soon as you hear any sort of sound go instantly into prone and scan the bushes about 100+m infront of you.

So should I be walking/crouch-walking, or should I sit it one place and call?

I'd say sit and call if you find a need zone and are there during the approximate time it is used. If you do stalk them, use the crouch-walk for a lower sight profile and less noise from moving. Lone Wolf is right about keeping a sharp eye on the bushes. It was the only way I managed to spot one sitting there resting about 15yds away.

i was just given this link by a friend as i couldn't find any coyote in an area that i needed for a mission .. it marks out where each animal is located .. hope this helps you get that elusive lynx
