Trophy rating requirements (points for diamond, etc.) update?
Hi,

I think I haven't found a discussion on this yet, but let me know if there is one.

It seems like the trophy rating requirements for a lot of animals were updated. I'm, not sure for how many. Does anyone one know for what animals and by how many rating points they were changed?

The only one I know for certain is that blacktail deer requirements were changed from 82.4(Silver)/155(Gold)/210(Diamond) to 76.9(Silver)/134.4(Gold)/177.50(Diamond). That's quite a bit! I checked the Patch notes and there it mentions for the last patch "Fixed score calculation issue with Roosevelt Elk, Blacktail Deer, Reindeer, Caribou and Fallow Deer". It's not super obvious that is this what changed the trophy rating, but I assume that is exactly that. So that means they also were adjusted for Elk, Reindeer, Caribou and Fallow Deer?

On the COTW wiki people also changed the trophy medal-rating requirements for the European Bison[thehuntercotw.fandom.com] and the Beiceite Ibex[thehuntercotw.fandom.com] in the past two weeks. Was that just wiki vandalism, or did those also change?

Lastly, does anyone know what that effectively means? It's clear that the medal-rating (bronze,silver,...) requirements changed, but the change could lie in any of these three things: 1. Antler geometry, 2. Number score criteria (TruScore), 3. Medal-rating (bronze, silver, ...) requirements. I hope I'm making sense, it's kind of hard to explain. With the example of the blacktail deer, here are the different scenarios of what I could imagine could have changed:
1. They made blacktail deer have smaller antlers now, which lowers number scores, so medal-rating requirements were changed accordingly. So the blacktail deer have smaller antlers now, but you're still just as likely to find a diamond.
2. The number score criteria (TruScore) changed and medal-rating requirements were changed accordingly. The deer have the same size antlers, but are just have a lower score by number. The deer look the same and it's just as hard to find a diamond.
3. They just lowered medal-rating criteria of what is considered a bronze/silver/gold/diamond, but the deer themselves didn't change and the number score also didn't. That would mean it would be a lot easier to get diamonds now.

Of course only one of these is true. Does anyone know which one it is?

Ever since the first trurack patch, these TR numbers have been broken and changed here and there with some patches.

use the game codex, i believe it's the most current for what has been updated. There's a post here about the integrity sheets not matching the codex, and the codex was proven to be correct for the Bison, not sure on the other animals.

I use this sheet - https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1NjzGrdT3XqzoOTbTg4u3PgTILjIjjrEWYI8j3_jfmKM/edit#gid=342458106

Not sure off top of my head what the numbers were so it may still need updated also.

If you hover over the trophy score in the harvest screen it tells you exactly what you need. Note that all harvest checks must be checked to get the full trophy.

On the Blacktail it looks like they've adjusted both the min diamond score and how the antlers are measured. I'm fairly certain neither alteration is going to make it easier to harvest a diamond.
Not one of the last 4 ea 5 -Mediums I've harvested has had a TR high enough to be a diamond. Just one of those strings of bad luck I guess.
