Do you listen to other music while playing this game?
or you rather not as it is a distraction?

Why play this game if you are listening to music, you cant here the animals. Wasting your time.
GamingLass2 May 27, 2020 @ 5:07am
Nah - I like more immersion. I like the animal sounds and weather while playing this game.

maybe if you are a bait and wait stealth player you could do it. call/bait in a herd into a open area and bamm bamm bamm.

exactly that, you need to hear the game. the ambient sounds are music to me. Wish i could record a couple hours of sound in LL and play it repeat to help sleep at night

depends on playstyle and experience. running around water at drink times + being able to see 200-300m+ doesnt require you to hear anything.

i prefer watching a stream while playing but im also listening to music if im playing coop with a buddy.

I do not listen to music with this. I like the silence and listen to the wind and try to listen to the animals walking etc. Though I have tried it with some ambient music bubt it dit not worked out for me, at least not in this game. So no.

same experience i had. many other games you can easily turn off the sounds and turn on the tunes and play without missing anything. The one time i tried playing COTW and listen to music i missed the bear footsteps and ended up getting mauled. scared the piss out of me, all focused on tracking a WT and listening to the music then bam! black bear in your face.

usually some death/black metal for sure

I listen to old western/country style instrumentals(no vocals) on half volume. It's low enough to not interfere with the game sound enough to break my immersion, and actually helps immerse myself with that style of music. I started with some of the songs from the Read Dead Redemption 2 soundtrack and made a playlist from there. Daniel Lanois has a nice instrumental album named Belladona that fits well to me. Slow calm stuff with no distracting words.
