VUALEZ #7 COYOTES
Can somebody tell me how to complete this bugged mission?

It's never a heart shot no matter how many perfect shots you take.

It's been a while. Could you please remind us of what the mission requires?

Keep trying

Mission is not bugged. It's just a difficult shot on such a small animal. The coyote heart is about the size of a walnut. It's a precision shot no matter how close the animal is.

Best to have the coyote coming directly towards you. Aim low in his chest. Bingo.

Word of warning about coyotes: Even with the wind 100% in your favor and using Scent Eliminator spray, when the coyote gets within 25 meters of you it will smell you. So best to take your shot before it gets 25 meters away, otherwise he's just gonna run away anyway.

Precision? No. It's 100% luck how the game decides which organs you hit. Even if the arrow goes straight through the heart when harvesting it doesnt "hit" the heart.

Use 420gr arrows on coyote. Even though the 300gr arrow claims it for Class 1-2, don't bother using it on coyote.

This mission (and some of the other Vualez missions) demonstrates exactly what I hate about some the the CotW missions: They are completely ridiculous. Seriously, no sane person goes coyote hunting under the self-imposed restriction of "I'm only going to do a heart shot. Nothing else will count." Coyote are varmints and hunting them is almost always an extermination mission, or at least a basic population control mission. Artificially imposing a "heart shot only" rule is asinine. Just as asinine as the Trampfine missions where you, a complete stranger, are supposed to risk your life getting a close-up photograph of a huge Level--9 Legendary black bear for some unstable whack-job whose become infatuated with the one bear. Yeah, right, like that would ever happen when you pay to go to a hunting reserve.
I could go on, but I won't. I'm sure I'm just preaching to the choir.

ok, I think I remember this one. It took me forever to get both coyotes. It is a pain but it can be done. I think this had to be done at a particular lake too and there were very few coyotes too.

So keep on trying but do other things and come back from time to time. Don't try to do it all at once as -- you can't. I agree it's a pain.

This South-East corner drinking zone is a good one for coyotes...

It's not luck. The heart of the coyote is pretty small and tough to hit. But if you aim right, you get the reward. Took me a good few times to nail this...

Lol this post made me laugh. You're right... asinine is the word for some of these missions....

JPSGT40, wait till you try some other areas. I agree, some of the missions are asinine but the game is good overall. Just focus on what you want to do and don't make the missions the "be all and end all".

I have literally given up on trying to go out and complete missions. I honestly feel like the devs are trolling us. I just came across from Xbox and am on PC now but I remember sitting on missions for literally hours with no results. Shoot 2 coyotes? can not find a single one! Shoot a WT withing 45mtrs? could not find a single one! Down an animal from a ground blind? No animals anywhere while in the blind???? I just got sick of it. It seems like the missions are a good XP and cash boost but they are so time consuming if you just hunt as normal you would probably earn more of both.
Like I said, the missions are a troll. Devs running some sort of social experiment and bet to see how long some idiot will sit in a blind looking at nothing before he gives up...
