too much aim wobble
I have to go into a little rant because this is bugging me a lot recently in this game. I just quit the game after multiple approaches in the "chase the wildebeest" mission where you have to shoot a wildebeest from at least 150m distance. Multiple times I have stalked and crouched into a perfect shooting position but I was never able to place a good shot.
Even when the character lies on the ground the aim wobbles the same as standing up. On distanceds >100m I find that it wobbles so much that I am unable to place deadly shots on most animals.

I think that I do know how to handle this in video games aswell as in real life.,There is some aim wobble in most FPS games but it is nowhere near as bad as in the Hunter. I have no such problems hitting my targets with aim wobble and ballistics in any other FPS game.
It just feels like the player has strong parkinsons desease and is heavily drunk after 3 nights without sleep.

Yes the wobble is quite adequate when standing up and holding the gun without any support. But when lying on the ground or supporting the gun on some object it is perfectly possible to get a very steady aim in real life aswell in other video games. Not in the Hunter...
This should be implemented in this game aswell...

So once again I got so highly annoyed by the aim wobble making it impossible to properly hit an animal >150m that I quit playing the game.

What are your thoughts on this?

I think the aim wobble is really easy and predictable to compensate for, easy to make a proper shot for anything under 350m. The wobble is so slow that once you are able to hold your breath a bit longer it's barely noticeable. It always returns back to or near the center every couple of seconds even if you don't want to compensate for it yourself.

The only exception is some people seem to have a bug that causes their aim to have a rapid vibrating "jitter" which isn't the designed aim wobble. I've gotten that a couple of times but never permanent.

Watch your pulse !? Wobble is pretty low compared to rl.....

There actually is less aiming gun wobble when crouched or prone than when standing up. At least that's how it is in my game. The longer you hold the aim the more it will wobble and the heavier the gun (or scope) the sooner one begins to tire and the sooner and more pronounced does the wobble increase. CptNeb has it right, the path of the wobble is somewhat predictable.
I've taken several puma at 300+ meters using the wobble to drop the crosshairs on target for me.
Some have said that the larger the scope the more wobble there is and others say it only appears that way due to the magnification involved. IMO the former have it right and so avoid using the scope with the largest maginification range. That monster will have your crosshairs jumping off the animal right from the git go.

Do you actually use the stop breathing button when aiming?

Also there are some perks to decrease the gun wobble.

But beware, holding breath too long causes your pulse to raise and thus causes even more gun wobble. So start holding your breath just a few seconds before you shoot.

yes

Dont hold your breath too long. Wait until the pulse goes down before shooting. 400+M shots happen all the time. There are also Perks you can get to steady your aim.

Legendary Marksman
Hit an animal from 400+ meters (438+ yards) Its very possible.
Allot of us have this achievement.

Within 150 m I do not even use other than iron sight. While this game does not have the most accurate aiming system, it is still pretty good... I was a sport shooter for many years, so yeah... this aiming system is not bad.

Yeah this just seems like you need to "git gud" IMO. I've dropped blacktails with heart shots using the Mosin from well over 350m before. It's just a matter of getting used to it, really. It's pretty predictable and once you learn the pattern, you won't have to think twice about it. That shot I mentioned above? I did that right after running with a lot of sway.

Im guessing you know you can ''hold shift'' to steady your aim?

Ok so apparently I am the only one with that issue :P
Maybe I have to get more used to it and figure it out properly
