What is this "Great One"?

With the recent update the "Great One" has been added. The patch notes are quite minimalistic (New features: "The Great One"). Yes, I get it, the developers do not want to tell too much about game mechanics and it is fine. Still, as they use the Great One to advertise the patch and make a lot of show, I would appreciate at least some information. Is this a new difficulty level one above 9-Legendary? Is it only for Whitetail, and are more species to come? Does it have a pre-defined rack or TruRacs going crazy with high numbers? Does anybody know bacause he/she already found one or did the devs tell something in the livestream?

PS: it is frustrating to have even more valuable trophy animals while leaderboards to register these trophies still don't work.

It's only for Whitetail right now, but they said they will add it for more species in the future aswell.

"Great One" means we get bigger Whitetail?

The great ones come with a new lvl of difficulty (lvl.10) and a new, bigger than diamond trophy. They are rarer than diamonds and also come with truracs.

At the moment there are only great ones for whitetail deer. They plan to implement them for new species in the future too though (possibly without telling more than "great one added" in the patch notes so that we would then have to go out there and hunt in order to figure out to which species they added the great one)

Its animal size 10
Not weapon class, that is the same across the whole species no matter the size

You get fulk score with mosin, 30-06,. 270 like with any other whitetail deer

LVL In terms of Animal LVL not Animal Class

I dig it. It's a cool way to add more "endgame" type stuff and now they have a ton of animals to give the same treatment, and I assume they'll all come alongside the much-needed patches as well.

Yeah I feel the same although I don't have that many diamonds its still nice to have something rare to look for

So this the great one is this for a quest only or just anyone whos lucky find it hunting on a map with whitetail map reason I ask is I don't do quest ever I hunt and thats it I dont like the idea of quest I like idea of options

They are just spawns not quests. good luck
