.22LR Vs Fox / Coyote

Do you think the .22LR would be any good against foxes and coyotes.

You can look the caliber you need in Codex > Fauna > Animal Name
And you see 22lr is only rated 1... so its good for Rabit,Hares and Goose and Duck nothing else.You need a proper Varminter Caliber... buy the 223 Caliber Rifle that is what youre looking for or the 30.30 Winchester

I was hoping it performed better than the rating it had, and someone would be like, actually it's not bad. I'm juggling my gear and can't decide and the best mix. I haven't used the 22 at all really, so I wouldn't know.

.22 is for ducks + rabbits
for coyote or fox - use .223 rifle

.22LR is a rabbit gun, or sniping birds from what I'm reading here. If you are intending to use it for that, you are probably best to use the handgun with scope. Rabbits are so dumb you can get two or three before they scurry off, then they'll be back in a few minutes while you sit back and sip coffee.

Pretty sure you can use the 243 on them as well but you might want to check that one.

.243 is a goer on fox and coyote, it's a better choice to carry.

.234 is the best for that atm, but its also a taste thing

It works, I always carry the .22 pistol.

However, you won't get any trophy bonus as it isn't the right gun according to the rules. It also takes multiple shots. 2-3 for even a small fox the size of a house cat. 4-5 for a coyote. They don't die quick either, so you'll have to track them.

Its a fun challenge though, you have to be very close.
