Goose related questions and caller observations
1) If flocks of geese fly over, and I call them down and kill them, does hunter pressure keep building and fewer geese will come down? Or just +noise penalty from shotgun?

2) Do geese fly during rain showers? When it rains (which is probably 20% of the time lol) I dont see any fly over.

Many people have told me using a caller for one species wont scare/affect another species.
Today I noticed (again), I was hunting geese and a female red fox was sending out mating calls. Every time I would use my Canadian goose caller, the fox would then send a "warning call" instead of a mating call.

hunting pressure do not affect geese, if you place 20 decoys they will fly and land near without calling for them also weather will not affect geese or duck. noise and sight will spook them, i place a duck hide in field with decoys around me. location i hunt for goose (SCHONFELDT) -7645.706, 11361.896

I haven’t had any geese land when it rains, could just be a fluke?

i've never seen geese fly by when it rains. if it starts raining i jump to a different field i have set up and try there.

Did geese pathways get nerfed? I have been in the sweet spot everyone uses today for 2 -3 hours real-time and where I used to have geese spawning every 8-10 min game time, now I see them about every 15-20 minutes game-time.

could be, i've only been really hunting geese, and that means actually putting some effort into it rather than shooting them when i see them fly by, for a few weeks now. I'm having the same, or longer spawn times for them to fly by. and i'm only seeing 2 flocks now and then a huge gap between.

I will make a new video to see if i experience the same time encounter (15 - 20 min real life time gap goose ratio), i have a nice spot to try it out on, not really noticed the time kill ratio before need to find out for my self, (SCHONFELDT) -7645.706, 11361.896 is one of my successful spot vs with another location Ritterstein Stewfield -6365.042, 7342.686 near outpost. both will be set at the same time stamp 9 am in game time to see if location matter vs time kill ratio between both. to find out if game encountered a hidden spawn nerf on goose. will keep you guys posted with results.

Thank You to DarK !

I just tried goose hunting for the first time and used your Schonfeldt Strawfields location.

I got 2 Golds and 1 Diamond during my first hour !

I ended up spending all the money I earned on taxidermy, but, eh... there will be more where that came from. Easy money.

Strange thing was, my very first flock to fly over was only 1 bird. A flock of 1 ? Oh well, his lonely days are over. The next was 2 full flocks at the same time!

Thanks for the tips.

Yea I've been goose hunting all day. I get 1-2 birds and double flocks a lot at the above mentioned location in Schonfelt, but I do feel there is more time in between the flocks then pre-patch. Just day before I made 85k in one full gaming day to buy my .300 mag, I don't think currently I could pull those numbers, but I only get 3-4 birds per land.

Ugh before patch, 30 decoys and my caller made geese flying over land 99% of time, today I have seen I bet near 20% of geese flocks flying over, constantly being called till right before land and instead they fly over and don't land. Is the Strawberry spot no longer sweet? I think I can do better rabbit hunting or maybe even deer hunting LL when I need some roubles...

Is your decoys close to you when geese flying into land? and i think they altered the spawning points, the best thing i can think of is wait until a in game week is passed and see if re spawn amount changes or there is another method to reset spawns but that in clued deleting some files here is the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8R6xPsF_Ozk

I just finished 3 hours of goose hunting in Hirsch, all from the same spot so all the HP is on top of me. Didn't have a single problem calling in every flock; not a single time did they refuse to circle in and land (or at least tried to land as I blasted them out of the air).
I don't think they've changed anything regarding hunting pressure or the caller.
Naturally, you don't want to pop your head out of the layout blind until you're ready to pull the trigger. Simply aiming actually reveals yourself out of the layout blind, and they absolutely see you when they get that close..
