Scope zeroing?
I am a bit confused, so I have short and long range zeroing perk points. Does that mean that at
long distances (I dunno, 300m up?) the scope is auto zeroed and you will hit where the center of the scope was? I was under the impression I had to use the "dot marks" on the lines of the scope to shoot a bit high to correct for bullet drop...

I got my first kill with a muzzle loader today...thrilling...:steamhappy:

Check the scopes out on the range in Hirschfield and you will see how the various rifles perform.

He may want to wait until the patch next week because the range uses your inventory ammo at the moment (not free ammo).

There is a skill that lets you set your scope's zeroing to something like 75m, 150m, 300m or different static distances depending on the weapon. If you activate the 300m zero, that means if you aim dead center at something 300m away you'll hit that spot.

I personally don't use this skill because it doesn't teach you the trajectory of the bullet so if you are trying to hit a target 230m away you'll have to guess your compensation because you never learned the bullet trajectory.

You can fix that by not equipping ammo.

When does the patch drop?

He can just use the free .243 soft point ammo if he's just testing out zeroing.

The storage locker is right there on the range so I usually just dump my store bought ammo into storage and simply use the range ammo. The patch notes indicate a fix is coming for the ranges but don't specify exactly what they are fixing. I swear, sometimes when I read about "fixes" coming I get a bad case of the willies.

True but i was thinking more about what Autobot was saying about trying the different rifles and i forgot about not equipping ammo (as OPFOR mentioned).

I haven't checked the beta section as i didn't play it so some things may have been added or removed.

you can shoot at the range without any ammo equipped so you don't use your ammo as a work around until they actually fix it.

zeroing works fine except for a couple rifles and the .22 pistol. Did a test on the rifles yesterday and the .45-70 and .22 rifle are all screwed up the MN1890 is off at hte 300m zero on 300m target by 3 rings, it shoots high. other wise it's dead on to that point.
